Welcome to the 4-H Afterschool Forestry Program!

Where youth in grades K-12 learn about changing forest practices, stewardship, ecology, and value-added wood products.

One Thousand and First Tree Planted

In October 2010 members and leaders from our 4-H program planted their 1001st tree. This planting has been almost ten years in the making, involving more than 300 youth in the process. We have planted along streams, in fields, at the local community center and the school grounds. Children have gained insight into the how and why of tree planting, taking pride and ownership in their projects. We thank all who have encouraged our efforts and supported our afterschool forestry program.
